Man Killed on 241 Toll Road in Anaheim

A 76-year-old man was killed last Friday on the northbound 241 toll road in Anaheim, near the 91 freeway.

The dead man was identified as Lamont Burrell of Tustin. Although the circumstances surrounding the accident are somewhat confused, it appears to have begun some time before noon, when Burrell’s vehicle collided with a Honda Civic. l reportsBurrell left his vehicle, and was hit by a third car, a Kia. The Kia appears to have lost control after hydroplanil reports suggesting ng on roads made wet by rain.

Initial reports indicating that Burrell was a good Samaritan coming to the aid of the crash appear to be unfounded.

Two other vehicles, a Jeep and a Mazda, also crashed while trying to avoid the pileup.

Following the crash, most of the lanes on northbound 241 were blocked as authorities cleared away the wreckage.

The driver of the Kia stopped his car and cooperated with authorities. He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The extent of the injuries of the other people involved are still unclear.
