Lawrence Sofaly, 74, of Hondo Texas, died on Saturday, January 19, 2020 in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Tucson, Arizona.

This multi-vehicle accident occurred around noon on the westbound side of that highway, near the Tangerine exit at milepost 230. Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) suspect this was a DUI crash.

A DPS spokesman reported that the Vehicular Crimes Unit is now in charge of this felony DUI case. They are treating it as a homicide investigation.

Two other individuals received serious injuries. This incident left the interstate closed for almost nine hours.
