Authorities: Beverly Whitehead Killed In West Richland Crash

A 32-year-old woman was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash near an interstate interchange south of West Richland, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Beverly Whitehead, of Kennewick, died before she could be transported to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries, authorities reported Sunday. No one else was in the vehicle at the time and no injuries were reported.

Troopers said Whitehead was driving east on U.S. 82 at 9:10 p.m. Saturday when she lost control of her vehicle near the interchange with U.S. 182. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Authorities said Whitehead was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the incident. Details about what might have led to the crash weren’t immediately released.

Local media outlets reported that Whitehead is a mother of five young children. According to a GoFundMe page set up to raise funds for her kids, she previously lived in Seattle but relocated after losing her house to a fire.

“Beverly was an inspiring paranormal investigator with (Northwest Paranormal Research Group),” campaign organizers wrote. “Pray for her family in this time of need and please help by donating for her children’s unexpected hardship.”
