Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver Octavio TrejoCabrera Arrested for Fatal Lancaster Crash

The services of a car accident lawyer are required after the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station Traffic Detectives arrested Octavio TrejoCabrera, 29. The suspect was arrested on Sunday, May 10, on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and hit and run causing injury or death. His arrest came after his vehicle struck a female pedestrian in Lancaster, California.

The accident report was made at about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. A man discovered the woman near Avenue L and Challenger Way. He quickly called authorities and described the situation. According to Lt. Clinton Skaggs of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the man said that he saw a car with front end damage further down the road.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found that the woman was a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Officers from the Los Angeles Fire Service pronounced her dead at the crash scene. Not so far from the body was an abandoned blue Nissan Sentra on the side of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway. Deputies began making efforts to contact the vehicle’s registered owner.

The coroner’s office identified the deceased using her fingerprints. They also determined her to be about 50 years of age. However, her name remains undisclosed.

Following evidence and statements made by witnesses, detectives found out that the blue Nissan Sentra was traveling west on Avenue L when it went off the roadway. It entered into the dirt shoulder and struck the pedestrian, who was walking on the north dirt shoulder.

Meanwhile, officers booked Octavio TrejoCabrera at the sheriff’s station in lieu of $100,000 bail. He also needs a car accident lawyer after his arrest for legal advice and representation.
