Skyway Motorcycle Crash Victim, Michael Endres Confirmed as Missing Paradise Man

Authorities, on Thursday, May 28, confirmed the identity of the body found on Skyway near Humbug Summit Road, California, as that of Michael Endres. Accident reports also revealed that the deceased is the man originally missing out of Paradise.

In a public release, the Paradise Police Department (PPD) said that a helicopter combed the route that Endres told his friend he would follow, in search of him. At about 9 a.m., a Butte County Sheriff’s helicopter found the body of a man off of Skyway.

When officers got closer, they discovered that it was the body of Endres. An initial investigation does not point to foul play, alcohol, or drugs as factors in the case. Officers are still carrying out further investigations on the case.

The investigations are necessary following the discovery of a motorcycle crash on Skyway, with the bike, and age of the deceased matching Endres’ description. No other information is available at this time.

Earlier reports state that Endres was last seen on Monday, May 25, when he left his home on a motorcycle at about 3 p.m. Following his disappearance, a missing person report was taken, while authorities also issued a “Be On the Lookout.” The motorcycle the victim was riding in was a black 2017 Yamaha FZ10c that had green wheels.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the initial search for Endres when he was reported missing. Accident reports state that the PPD also solicited the help of the California Highway Patrol to help search the area by air.
