Francisco Sotelo Juarez, 27, Killed By Drunk Driver In Dolton Head-On Collision

Early Saturday morning, Francisco Sotelo Juarez of Chicago Heights was killed when an SUV traveling the wrong way down the Bishop Ford Expressway crashed into his car.

Juarez was a passenger in a Dodge Saturn when he and his driver were struck by a KIA traveling at a high rate of speed into their path. The SUV’s driver, Derrick Williams, 43, of Dolton reportedly made no efforts to stop or to avoid the oncoming traffic. The driver of the Dodge was treated for serious injuries, and Williams sustained “non-life threatening” injuries. Juarez was killed at the scene.

Authorities have confirmed alcohol was a factor and have charged Williams with aggravated drunken driving.
