A single car accident that took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles is now under investigation by local authorities. In addition to causing multiple injuries, including one death, the car accident involved an unlicensed driver now suspected of drunk driving.
At 9:55 at the corner of Peck and East Rush, the unlicensed driver crashed into a utility pole, flipping his vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Luckily no other vehicles were involved, but the car contained two occupants other than the driver.
One of the passengers became trapped underneath the vehicle after it flipped. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene of the accident. The driver also suffered injuries, and was transported to Los Angeles County Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities project that the driver will be arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) as well as causing harm to another person.
