Deadly California Big Rig Accident Leaves One Dead


A major accident involving two passenger vehicles and a big rig ended in tragedy. The crash occurred near Fairfield on Highway 12. Pedro Ruiz, 19 apparently lost control of his vehicle and drifted into oncoming traffic causing this major accident.

Houston Mandolph, 23, of Stockton California was pronounced dead at the scene. Mandolph was the driver of the other passenger vehicle. Two of Mandolph’s passengers (Ashley Coss and Christopher Coss) were air-lifted to nearby John Muir Hospital with major injuries.
An investigation continues into the cause of this accident. The driver of the big rig was uninjured and help take Ruiz out of his car before is burst into flames.
