Fatal I-10 Crash Victim Identified As Eduardo Jimenez

Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal crash that took place over the weekend. The victim has been identified as Eduardo Jimenez, 25, of Beaumont. The identity of the victim was kept confidential in the initial accident reports pending notification to the next-of-kin. Following the due procedure of notification, the identification was now made public by the Riverside County coroner’s office.

According to the details shared by the California Highway Patrol, the incident in which Jimenez died occurred on Saturday, August 8. It occurred in early morning and was reported to the police at around 6 a.m.

Eduardo Jimenez was traveling westbound on the I-10 when he ran into the fatal accident. Just east of the Oak Valley Parkway, Jimenez apparently lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then overturned at a high speed. This caused Jimenez to be ejected from the vehicle. Once the first responders arrived on the scene of the crash, he was pronounced dead.

According to CHP, Jimenez was the only person traveling in the vehicle at the time. No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash. The Riverside County Fire Department was among the local agencies and departments that responded to the incident.

CHP continues to investigate the incident. At this point, it is not clear exactly how the incident took place. For now, authorities have not ruled out drugs or alcohol as the factors that caused the crash. However, final accident reports may confirm the actual causes that led to the fatal accident.
