The authorities in Alameda County, California, on Wednesday, March 11th, released information about the man who almost died in a motorcycle accident. Jorge Campanur ended up in the hospital after a car hit him while on his motorcycle.
The accident that almost claimed the man’s life occurred on Saturday, February 29th. Campanur has been in the hospital since then, and his family opened a GoFundMe account to help them with his hospital bills.
Preliminary investigation by the police uncovered that the man was on his way to visit his mother, but never showed up. By Monday, March 2nd, Campanur’s family had been unable to locate him, and they later found out he was in an accident.
The injured man’s family located him in a hospital in Lynwood. Campanur is still in the hospital unconscious but alive with a wired jaw and several broken bones, but his family hopes that he will make a full recovery.
There is no information about the identity or the whereabouts of the man who struck Campanur. There is also no information on the vehicle the man was driving, and the degree of his liability is unknown.
The courts in California always look out for who has the liability when trying a case resulting from an accident. In a criminal case, the degree of accountability helps the jury reach a guilty or not guilty verdict.
It also helps the court decide the sentence to award, while in a civil case, it helps the court determine who is liable and who should get awarded compensation.
