Traffic collisions occur due to several reasons stemming from the negligence and carelessness of road users. Common causes of crashes are running red lights or stop signs at intersections, wrong-way driving, veering off one’s travel lane, speed, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and distracted driving.

Drivers should mitigate the above factors by practicing safe road behaviors and putting safety first. Failure to do the preceding would result in a collision that might lead to adverse legal consequences.
