The Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section Officer Rosario Cervantes said that the deceased met his end on the morning of Saturday, May 30th. The event that led to Gutierrez’s death began with the driver of an unidentified vehicle model.

The unnamed driver was traveling west on Roscoe Boulevard at approximately 8:50 a.m. when he collided against the deceased’s car. The collision’s impact left Gutierrez with severe injuries, and by the time first responders arrived at the scene, he was unresponsive.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office disclosed that the medics declared the man dead at the accident site. The Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey said the paramedics could not find another injured person to convey to the hospital.

The unidentified motorist abandoned his vehicle and left the scene before the authorities arrived. The police currently have no information on the motorist’s identity, and they are actively searching for him.
