Michael Moore Arrested For DUI After Sustaining Injuries in Martinez Solo-Car Crash

A single-vehicle car crash in Martinez, California, left a man seriously injured after his vehicle rolled over in a fire hydrant. The injured man was taken into police custody following the crash, which occurred on Sunday, April 5, on suspicion of DUI-alcohol, and may need the services of a car accident lawyer.

Officers of the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the crash site at about 4:50 pm, after receiving reports of a car accident on Highway 4.

Investigators determined that the crash victim, Michael Moore, 26, was traveling along the westbound Highway 4 in a white Toyota Corolla.

Just as he approached east of Pine Street ramp, the car for unknown reasons drifted off the highway and went through a fence into Arnold Drive.

The Toyota then skidded miles across the drive, before it overturned and came to rest in the fire hydrant. The sole occupant of the vehicle suffered major injuries that were not life-threatening.

Paramedics accompanying the CHP rescued the driver alive and transported him to John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek, for treatment.

The victim failed field sobriety tests, confirming he was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was arrested on charges of suspected DUI causing injuries.

No further information was released concerning the accident.

It is important that anyone who was involved in a car accident or lost a family member, as a result, should get in touch with a car accident lawyer to oversee the legal proceedings.
