Motorcycle Accident in Castaic Ends the Life of Travis Jordan

Accident Reports obtained from the Los Angeles County authorities confirmed the death of a motorcycle operator who met his end after crashing into a raised median in Castaic, California. The fatal crash took place on Saturday, May 2, as stated in the reports.

Fire Department personnel responded to the scene of the crash at about noon, on reports of a solo motorcycle crash that left at least one vehicle ablaze, on Interstate 5, near Parker Road.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the motorcyclist was riding a Suzuki motorcycle, along the south travel lanes on I-5, at speed, which, according to witness accounts, exceeded 100 mph.

While in transit, the motorcycle crashed into the center divider on the freeway, just south of Parker Road. The evidence gathered at the scene suggested that the rider was thrown off his bike and briefly became airborne seconds before the deadly collision.

Although witnesses reported that the crashed vehicle went aflame after the crash, the Los Angeles County Fire department operatives that responded at the scene did not discover any fire upon their arrival. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the tragic encounter.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office identified the fatal victim as Travis Jordan, a 39-year-old resident of El Paso, Texas. No one else was harmed in the accident.

The accident reports did not ascertain whether Jordan was under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he struck the median.

The incident remains under investigation.
