A teenager has died after being pinned beneath a pickup truck in Pacoima at the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Vaughn Street Tuesday morning.
The teenager, whose name has not yet been released, had been riding his bicycle when he was struck and caught up in a crash between a pick up truck and another vehicle.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. While it’s not immediately clear what led to the crash, the teenager succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, dying at the scene after he was freed from being trapped beneath the truck.
A female driver of one of the cars involved in the crash was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries in what was described as a ‘good condition’.
Further information was not immediately available. The accident remains under investigation.
