A car accident lawyer may be needed after two people lost their lives in a fatal two-vehicle collision in Pleasanton, California. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau on Monday, April 20, disclosed the victims’ names as Joshua Nampraseut, 21, and Jeremi Hanks, 22.

The deadly crash took place early on Friday morning, April 17. The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at about 2:15 am, on the Interstate 680 Freeway, near Bernal Avenue.

According to the reports supplied by patrol officers, the mishap kicked off when a 1996 Lexus Sedan was traveling through the south traffic lanes on I-680 Freeway at a speed of 100 miles per hour.

While in transit, the Lexus rear-ended a passing semi-truck, causing the two occupants, who were not restrained by a seatbelt at the time, to be ejected from the car.

Both Joshua Nampraseut and Jeremi Hanks were confirmed dead at the scene by emergency responders. The operator of the big rig escaped the crash unscathed. Authorities did not disclose the identity of the truck driver.

The CHP is investigating the case to ascertain the cause of the fatal wreck.

Anyone involved in a car accident is advised to get in touch with a car accident lawyer for representation. The legal expert would also ensure that the faulted party compensates the victims for damages and all incurred expenses. In addition, accident victims are expected to contact their insurance company to investigate the crash and oversee the restoration of the dented vehicle.
