22-year-old Raquel Jiminez-Zurita would need a top accident lawyer’s service following her arrest for a solo car crash in Orcutt, California. The suspect was traveling with 20-year-old Janet Jimenez when she crashed her vehicle on Monday, August 3rd.
The crash report showed that the collision’s impact was so severe that it split Jiminez-Zurita’s 2017 Toyota Camry into two pieces, spilled gasoline, and fell an electric line. The California Highway Patrol said that the crash occurred around 11:05 a.m. on Highway 1 north of Solomon Road.
The two were northbound on the highway at top speed when Jiminez-Zurita swerved before Solomon Rd. and lost control of the vehicle. The CHP said that the Toyota spilled about 10 gallons of fuel, and left a severed electrical line dangling in the air.
The driver and Jimenez were able to extricate themselves from the car, but they complained of pain. An ambulance took the two by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria for evaluation. The investigators determined that Jiminez-Zurita drove under the influence of alcohol and took her into custody.
The CHP booked her into the Santa Barbara County Jail, but there’s no information on her bail condition. Pacific Gas and Electric Company sent a crew to evaluate the utility pole and repair the broken line. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department also sent units to the scene. There is no additional information and the investigators will provide an update at a later time.
