Robert Vermillion Identified as One of the Injured Victims of Highway 120 Accident

The driver airlifted to a hospital after a traffic collision on Tuesday, July 28th, on Highway 120, in the Keystone area of California, has been identified. Updated reports of the car accident released on Thursday, July 30th, revealed the man’s name as Robert Vermillion, 66, a resident of the Bay area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at about 7:45 p.m., the victim drove a 2010 Subaru Forester west of the highway. At the same time, a 2017 Audi A4 was trying to cross the road’s westbound lanes. The officers said that the driver of the second vehicle, Sadi Tucker, 18, of Atwater, then entered the roadway to get on the eastbound lane.

The teenager crossed directly in front of the Subaru and collided with the vehicle. The impact caused Robert’s vehicle to overturn and rest in the westbound lane of the highway. The man sustained severe wounds and received treatment in a hospital in Modesto.

A passenger in the Subaru, identified as Helen Vermillion, 68, of Bay area, suffered moderate injuries and received treatment in the same hospital. Tucker sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. The CHP is still investigating the accident and will release an update at a later time.

Vehicle collisions occur daily in California and result from negligence or adverse conditions beyond the motorist’s control. Drivers can mitigate crashes by obeying the road’s rules and prioritizing safety above all else.
