Robert Wilson, 18, was killed Monday evening in a crash involving six vehicles.
The crash, which occurred at around 8 p.m. on northbound Highway 65 near Blue Oaks Boulevard in Roseville, California, began when a car rear-ended a big rig, leading to a domino effect of several cars crashing into each other. Wilson’s vehicle, in which he was a passenger, was hit twice.
Wilson, who was planning to start his first semester of college, was traveling with three friends in the vehicle, all of whom were also injured. Police report that there were injuries in nearly every vehicle involved in the pileup. Everyone involved was taken to a nearby hospital.
