Sam Patterson IDed as Fatal Victim of a Single-Vehicle Accident in Los Angeles

On Saturday, September 12th, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the motorist killed in a single-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles, California. 44-year-old Sam Patterson was a city resident.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in the car accident report that they received a call about the occurrence around 3:20 a.m. on Friday, September 11th. It took place at 41st Street and Western Avenue.

The investigators said that Patterson was southbound on Western when he lost control of his car for an unknown reason. The vehicle struck a power pole and fell power lines. The man died at the scene.

The LAPD said they notified the Los             Angeles Department of Water and Power. The investigation to determine the cause is ongoing, and there’s no additional information.
