Suspected DUI Driver, Carlos Torres, Arrested for Crashing into a Building Twice in Lucas Valley

A drunk driving attorney would be needed after a man, suspected to have been intoxicated, crashed two different vehicles into a building in Lucas Valley, California. The incident took place on Wednesday, April 15.

The California Highway Patrol reported that at about 2:45 a.m. on the said day, an impaired driver crashed his Mustang through a fence, before slamming into the garage of a house located in the Marin area.

After this first crash, a resident accosted the driver and seized the keys to his vehicle before rushing back in to alert the authorities of the DUI crash.

While at it, the drunk driver located the keys to another vehicle, a Toyota, parked on the resident’s driveway, got in, and tried to flee the scene in the stolen vehicle.

However, the impaired driver, identified as Juan Carlos Torres, 37, from San Francisco, put the car on the wrong gear, causing the Toyota to soar forward towards the building rather than reverse.

The vehicle crashed into the garage, next to the Mustang. The homeowner stepped out a second time and tried to force the keys from the drunk man, who attacked his face repeatedly.

Torres suffered injuries in the two wrecks and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, after which he was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving, battery, and vehicle theft.

Torres reserves the right to consult a legal practitioner, and would most likely seek counsel from a drunk driving attorney to weigh his options, and avail himself, the best available means of solving the case.
