A teenager killed last week during an Armenian-American activist caravan in Los Angeles, California, has been identified. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office on Monday, April 27, named the fatal victim as 15-year-old David Bakalyan, as stated in updated accident reports.

The crash was reported in the afternoon of Friday, April 24, as revealed by the CHP. Officers were deployed to the site of the wreck just after 3:20 pm, following reports of a vehicle that crashed into a wall on Santa Monica (10) Freeway.

It was gathered that 15-year-old Bakalyan was traveling as a passenger in a white Dodge taking part in the caravan to mark the 105th anniversary of the American Genocide, alongside several other vehicles. Just as the car approached Crenshaw Boulevard, it smashed into a concrete fence located off the freeway, sustaining serious damages as a result.

At least four people were present in the Dodge, including David Bakalyan, who suffered life-threatening injuries. First responders transported the teenager to a hospital within the locality, where he was pronounced dead.

The three other occupants also suffered serious injuries. Paramedic accompanying the Los Angeles County firefighters transported the injured victims to a hospital. The accident reports did not disclose whether other vehicles were involved in the traffic wreck.

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the police. Any new findings would be included in the accident reports once they are made available.
