Solo motorcycle accidents are not uncommon in California, and they occur due to reasons resulting from negligence. Common causes of this type of crash include intoxication, speeding, running red lights, and riding recklessly. Motorcyclists can avoid the preceding by riding cautiously and without any form of impairment.

Motorcycle riders should wear a safety helmet, and protective apparel to protect themselves from severe or fatal injuries. Additionally, be visible when on the road, take turns and exits slowly, and keep adequate space for passing and lane splitting.
