Victim Of Fatal Car Crash In Burlingame Identified As Irene Mota Lazaro

Th woman who died last month after her SUV veered off Highway 101 and capsized several times in Burlingame, California, has been identified by the California Highway Patrol. Her identity was reported on Thursday, March 5, as Irene Mota Lazaro, 27.

The fatal incident took place on February 15 at about 5:30 pm. According to reports from the state’s Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash was reported on Saturday evening, with at least one victim confirmed dead.

In a statement by the CHP, the Redwood City resident was driving a silver Chevy SUV, along Highway 101, south of the Broadway on-ramp, in Burlingame when her vehicle suddenly swerved off the road and through a chainlink fence.

The sudden impact caused the car to roll over multiple times before coming to a violent stop off Rollins Road. The woman was thrown off the vehicle into the roadway before the SUV halted on its wheels.

The San Mateo County Coroner’s office identified the deceased as a resident of Redwood City, which was about an eighteen-minute drive from Burlingame.

Nothing has been discovered to have caused the crash since the CHP commenced investigations. However, it has been confirmed that the demised woman was sober, with no indications of drugs or alcohol influence at the time of the fatal accident.

An online fundraiser has been set up by friends and family members of the deceased, who described her as free-spirited, to facilitate her funeral.
