Virginio Ponce & Russel Ambrose Fatally Injured in Newberry Springs Car Crash

A two-vehicle collision which occurred last weekend in the Newberry Springs area of California left two people fatally injured. The tragic crash took place on the morning of Saturday, April 25, and may require the involvement of auto accident attorneys.

California Highway Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene of the accident at about 10:47 am, following reports of a car crash at the intersection of Fairview and Harvard roads.

Investigators determined that one of the vehicles, a Jeep Wrangler, driven by Russel Ambrose, was traveling through the east traffic lanes on Fairview Road.

At the same time, a Polaris Ranger was heading south on Harvard Road, approaching its intersection with Fairview. Just as the two vehicles reached the intersection, the Jeep collided with the oncoming Ranger.

The impact of the collision caused severe damages to the struck car, fatally injuring the right front passenger. The front-seat passenger, identified as Virginio Ponce, of Newberry Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The motorist operating the Wrangler was also critically injured. Paramedics transported the driver to St. Mary Medical Center by air ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

No information was released regarding the identity and condition of the driver manning the Razor.  Also, the police did not disclose whether drugs and alcohol were suspected as possible factors in the two-vehicle accident that killed Ponce and Ambrose.

The incident is being investigated by the Barstow Office of the CHP.

Auto accident attorneys have proven effective over the years in seeking justice and compensation for victims of traffic collisions and their families.
