Jamel Robinson, 17, Dies After Being Struck By Car In West Englewood

After exiting a CTA bus Friday in West Englewood, 17 year old Jamel Robinson was struck by a Mazda 3 and later died from the injuries.

Robinson left the bus on West 69th St. on Chicago’s South Side shortly before 5:30pm on Friday, and walked north across the street when the eastbound car struck him from the side. Robinson was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and died later Saturday afternoon.

Police have not issued citations to the driver of the Mazda yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
