Multiple Deaths in Chicago Crash

Three people are dead, and one injured, after an automobile crash on the Eisenhower Expressway on the West Side of Chicago.

The crash occurred early Monday morning, at approximately 2:15 a.m., in the area of Western Avenue. The driver of a black 2012 Buick was heading west on Interstate 290 when it lost control and went off the road, hitting a pole. No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the incident.

Two passengers, Brittany Williams, aged 29, and Henry Brooks IV, aged 49, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger, Randy Ross, aged 42, was critically injured and pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.

The driver of the car, whose identity has not been released, remains at Stroger Hospital in critical condition. All four people involved were residents of Chicago.

The crash remains under investigation, but authorities believe that alcohol was a factor. Following the crash, all outbound lanes of Interstate 290 were closed until 8:30 a.m. that morning.
