A drunk driving attorney’s services are required after police arrested an alleged drunk driver, John Jay Danley, 58, on the evening of Sunday, May 10. The arrest came after the suspect’s vehicle became stuck on the edge of a rail spur embankment with the wheels off the road. The crash occurred near East Dock Street and Southeast Road 18, in Pasco, Washington.
Police responded to a distress call about a single-vehicle crash and rushed to the crash scene. Following investigations, they found that the suspect tried to make a turn when he drove off the road. This lifted the rear wheels of his vehicle off the road, making him unable to reverse or move in any direction.
After examining the suspect, police found that he had a blood-alcohol level that was more than twice the legal limit in the state of Washington. In a press release on social media, the Pasco Police said that they previously ordered the suspect to have an ignition interlock installed in any vehicle he drove.
The measure was necessary to prevent these kinds of occurrences from happening. However, Danley didn’t take heed of the instruction.
Driving while intoxicated is dangerous. No driver should go behind the wheels of a vehicle after consuming alcohol in amounts exceeding the permitted limit. Drivers must be focused, alert, and in their right senses when they are driving, and alcohol prevents them from doing so.
A person involved in a DUI accident would contact a drunk driving attorney for representation and help with the case.
