Jose Chagollan Zoragosa & 2 Others Injured in DUI Crash in Longview

At least three casualties resulted from a three-vehicle collision that happened this week in Longview, Washington. The tragic occurrence took place on the morning of Tuesday, May 12, and would require the involvement of a car injury lawyer.

Officers responded to the accident on Interstate 5 shortly after it occurred. The Washington State Patrol reported that the crash left two people hospitalised with injuries, including a toddler. At least three vehicles were involved in the encounter.

Investigators determined that one of the vehicles involved was a northbound car driven by 47-year-old Felix Pulido Cervantes. The vehicle was following closely behind another northbound vehicle, which suddenly slowed down midway. The WSP said Cervantes was unable to stop his vehicle in time to avoid slamming into the car in front of him.

Soon after the crash, a third car, driven by a 46-year-old woman from Onalaska rear-ended Cervantes’ vehicle. Officers said the car had been driving behind the other two motorists and got totaled in the collision. The car was conveying three passengers including Jose A.Chagollan Zaragosa, 47, and two minors aged two and fifteen.

Emergency responders transported Zaragosa and the other injured victims to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center for immediate treatment. Police said all the occupants of the dented vehicle were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The sole occupant of the first car Cervantes struck went unscathed. Police arrested the man, who was not injured in the crash, on charges of vehicular assault, felony drug possession and possession with intent.

The cause of the mishap remains under investigation by the WSP.

Injured victims of car accidents should endeavor to get in touch with a car injury lawyer for counsel and if deemed necessary, representation.
