Shannon S. Robinson Hospitalized Following Whiteside County Two-Vehicle Collision

Lasean Jackson

A two-vehicle collision that occurred earlier this week and left a woman in serious condition in Whiteside County, Illinois calls for the intervention of a car injury lawyer. The near-fatal crash took place on the afternoon of Monday, May 11.

The Illinois State Police deployed officers to a location on Bunker Hill Road at precisely 1 p.m., on reports of a crash that left a woman injured. The accident involved at least two vehicles including a tan Chevrolet Avalanche and a white Dodge Ram that collided near Lyndon Road.

Investigators gathered that the Dodge truck, driven by Darrel. C. Neubauer was driving through the roadway when he approached an intersection. The truck driver failed to yield to the red signal on the traffic light, entering the intersection unlawfully.

As a result, the driver struck the Chevrolet which was at the time driving towards Lyndon Road. The front driver’s side of the car received the full impact of the hit, leaving the female motorist, identified as Shannon S. Robinson, pinned inside.

First responders rescued the victim, and transported her to a hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the traffic wreck. The operator of the truck that struck Robinson did not suffer any injury in the collision.

Authorities confirmed in the reports that the truck driver got cited for disobeying a stop sign. Officials have not disclosed an update on the woman’s condition at this time.

Injured victims of car accidents should endeavour to reach out to a car injury lawyer who would ensure they obtain the right compensation for losses incurred.
