Long Beach Man killed in Crash on Crenshaw Blvd.

A crash on Crenshaw Boulevard ended in a fatality on Tuesday when a car struck a tree near the ExxonMobil refinery in Torrance.  The Impact of the car accident was so severe that it nearly split the vehicle in two.  The 34-year-old victim, Ector Louis Gonzales, was headed south on Crenshaw in his 2006 Nissan Sentra when he smashed into a median just north of Del Amo Boulevard.  The crash was reported at 2:55 p.m. and shut down Del Amo and 190th street as police tried to investigate the scene.

Most would consider this an open and shut case of an errant driver who met a sad end.  Family members of the deceased should look much deeper, as some solo car accidents could be caused by defective auto parts.  Something like the brakes failing or the steering wheel malfunctioning could have contributed to the man’s demise.  If this is found to be the case, relatives could sue the automaker via product liability and wrongful death lawsuit.
