Saturday evening, a car traveling on State Route 54 in San Diego County struck and killed 44 year old cyclist Raymond Arthur Brown.
Brown was traveling west towards San Miguel Street when a car from the number two lane struck him. Police were alerted to the crash by a passer by who called 911. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Cyclists, by law, are allowed the full roadway for travel, as well as a three-foot margin for safety.
