Motorcyclist Wilber Gonzalez, 28, Killed In Anaheim Crash

Early Monday morning, 28 year old Wilber Amilcar Sotelo Gonzalez was struck by a car on Katella Avenue in Anaheim.

The 71 year old driver turned her Cadillac CTS onto West Katella from a stop sign, and did not see Gonzalez riding his Yamaha motorcycle due to obstructed view. The Garden Grove woman slammed into Gonzalez, killing him at the scene. The driver was not significantly injured. Investigators say alcohol was not a factor.

One of the leading causes of deadly motorcycle crashes is drivers who turn left without checking the lane. Whether because of texting while driving, or simply not paying attention — it is a deadly situation.
