Jimmy Hughes Jr. was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office as the victim of the tragic accident this past Friday on the 134 freeway near Glendale. Hughes, 37 was killed and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash when the Chevy Suburban he was driving overturned. 
The cause of the crash is still unknown and the California Highway Patrol is investigating. CHP and witnesses say that Hughes crossed onto the 134 Freeway near Harvey where he struck another car and then the center divider causing his Suburban to overturn on the eastbound direction of the 134 Freeway.
This tragic accident must be thoroughly investigated to determine its cause. While reports are unclear and a police investigation will presumably not be ready for several weeks, SUV rollover accidents can be a result of many different factors including defective tires, tire tread separation or many other defects.
