A Chicago Lawn based woman died of blunt force trauma on after being hit by an Illinois state trooper in I-57 crash. The woman, together with her spouse were driving on Interstate-57 Monday just South of Maplewood Avenue in Riverdale, when she lost control of her car.
Sindi Miller, a 29-year old Chicago woman, was driving her 2006 grey Nissan on I-57 when she cut off a State Trooper. She clipped the car, causing both cars to spin out. The driver was killed in the crash. Her female passenger was identified as her wife, 46-year old Camesia Miller. Camesia was transferred to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuried.
For some reason, the police have concluded that the passenger was actually the one responsible for the crash. They haven’t provided any details as to what she did, but initial data suggestsshe has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
A 50-year old Illinois State Trooper was also injured in the accident. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and is listed as being in stable condition.
There have not been any charges filed yet in connection with the injuries to the officer.
The Cook County coroner performed an autopsy on
Sindi Miller and declared the cause of death as
homicide. He said Miller died as the result of multiple blunt trauma injuries.
Camesia Miller is still in the hospital recovering from her injuries but she is
under police custody.
