Veriac Hor Gets Identified as One of the Victims in Fiery Stockton Crash

Veriac Hor

The identity of one of the victims of the fiery crash in Stockton, California, got released on Thursday, February 13th, by the sheriff’s office as Veriac Hor. The deceased 17-year-old teenager was traveling with an unidentified 18-year-old person.

The two also had an unnamed person with them in the car, who sustained severe injuries, and is currently undergoing treatment. The trio was traveling in a vehicle that caught fire.

According to police and California Highway Patrol report, the driver was speeding erratically on Eight Mile Road from Interstate 5. The driver tried to pass traffic on the left, lost control of the car, and drove it off the road.

The crash, which happened a little before 3 p.m., saw the driver wreck the car against a wooden fence, taking out five sections. It then knocked down a light pole and caught fire instantaneously.

Hor and the 18-year-old died instantly, and the survivor narrowly got rescued. The accident left long skid marks on the road, and it remains unclear who was driving between the two teenagers.

The accident led to the closure of the section of the Eight Mile Road heading east. The CHP and police opened it up at about six p.m. after they conducted preliminary investigations.

The police are still working on identifying the other deceased person. When an accident occurs, cars catch fire if flammable liquids are present.

Electrical system malfunction can also make a car catch fire in an accident. The abundance of combustible fumes is also a contributing factor, as well as uncontrolled sparks that ignite expelled vapor.
