The Brentwood Coroner’s Office has identified the man who got killed in a single-vehicle crash. They released the name on Tuesday, February 18th, as 22-year-old Tyler Stanchina.

Stanchina died at the scene of the accident, and the autopsy report by the coroner showed that he succumbed to his injuries. The police have not stated if there will be a toxicology test.

The deceased crashed his car on the evening of Saturday, February 15th. He was the only person in a white Infiniti Sedan that struck a tree near the intersection with Central Boulevard.

The Brentwood Police Department stated they received a report of the crash at about 5:09 p.m. When the BPD arrived at the scene, they found Stanchina unresponsive and trapped inside his car.

The Brentwood Fire Department got the deceased out of his car and pronounced him dead. The BPD is still investigating the cause of the accident, and have asked anyone with information to contact their office.

Accidents claim life daily in Illinois and the United States. The common causes are driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but there many others.

Animal Crossing, navigating deadly curves at top speed, and foggy weather are also leading causes of road accidents. Icy roads during the winter, tire blowouts, potholes, and road rage contribute.

Improper lanes, tailgating, wrong-way driving, design defects, and night driving cause accidents. Traffic officials have advised drivers to only get on the road when their cars are in tip-top shape, and when they can drive without any impairment.
