11 Injured in Accident Involving NGHTMRE Tour Bus

A production bus from DJ and electronic dance music producer NGHTMRE’s Portal tour was involved in a crash in Texas on Saturday evening.

The bus veered off the highway near I-45 and careened into a barricade.

NGHTMRE, whose real name is Tyler Marenyi, did not appear to be involved in the crash.

However, the team was heading from Dallas to Houston for a show.

Officials said all 11 passengers on board the bus suffered injuries but only six were taken to hospital with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening. The names of the injured were not released.

It is not known why the bus left the roadway. Photos show the vehicle propped up on the barricade.

Houston Fire Department District Chief Anthony Russo said the situation was a unique one for responders. He said the barricade collapsed and gave away, creating a ramp effect for the bus.

No details have been released about whether anyone will be cited or charged in connection with the crash.

NGHTMARE’s Portal stage did not arrive in Houston on Saturday evening but the sold-out show went on. Stereo Live handled the production in the absence of the usual team.

In a statement to fans, NGHTMRE said the production crew would take a break to rest and recover.

He said the tour includes a large-scale setup that wouldn’t be possible without the crew. He said the team’s recovery was vital in order for the tour to continue.

This was NGHTMRE’s biggest solo tour to date with stops across the country as well as Canada.
