The police have now identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that took place in Calumet City on Monday, March 9. The victim has sustained critical injuries in the crash and died the next day on Tuesday, March 10. Authorities initially kept his identity secret but have now revealed identification details.
The victim has been identified as Jeremi Bobo, 32, of Griffith. According to a report from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, Bobo was riding a motorcycle on the Freeland Avenue in the Calumet City when the accident happened. The incident took place on the 1300 block of the road. In its report, the medical examiner said that the motorcycle rider had been struck. It is not clear how Bobo was hit, whether he collided into another vehicle or if another driver hit his motorcycle. So far, no details are available on whether or not any other vehicles and individuals were involved.
In the wake of the crash, Bobo sustained serious injuries. He was then rushed to the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago. He remained under treatment at the facility but succumbed to his injuries the next day when he was pronounced dead.
