Pedestrians Jason Sanders and Adam Caesar Killed in Houston Traffic Collision

An auto-pedestrian crash which took place on Monday, April 20, in Southeast Houston, Texas, left two people dead after they were struck by an overspeeding vehicle. Although the driver has not been arrested, a top accident lawyer may be called upon to review the case.

The fatal collision happened at about 11:30 pm on the said day, according to police reports. Preliminary investigations revealed that the car involved, a Chevy SUV, was traveling at a high rate of speed along Cullen Boulevard.

The car suddenly swayed off the roadway and slammed into an electric pole mounted off the road, running over two pedestrians who were at the time crossing the road in the process.

Emergency responders pronounced the two pedestrians dead at the scene of the crash. The condition of the driver was not revealed; however, the District Attorney confirmed that the motorist was in no danger.

Authorities disclosed the victims’ identities as Jason Sanders and Adam Caesar.

The driver was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. However, police said he was driving at a speed above 35 miles per hour, as against the permissible limit on Cullen Boulevard.

The unidentified motorist was not immediately arrested or charged with any offense. He is, however, liable to face charges ranging from manslaughter to criminality negligent homicide if the case is reviewed by a top accident lawyer.
