UPDATE: Jose Arroyo Faces DUI Charges Following Monday Crash That Killed Three in Dallas

Following the tragic accident which happened on Monday morning, May 25, in Dallas, Texas, an intoxicated driver now faces several charges stemming from the DUI crash. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, disclosed the suspect’s identity as Jose Arroyo, 23, while listing out his charges. The suspect may require representation by a drunk driving attorney.

The initial reports showed two vehicles collided at about 1:35 a.m., at the intersection of N. Hampton Road, and Singleton Boulevard. The Dallas Police Department said one of the cars was conveying a family of four.

Three people in the vehicle lost their lives, including 47-year-old Ernesto Deleon, and his two daughters, 19-year-old Leslie Deleon and Ashley Deleon, 18. A fourth person in the car which was driven by Ernesto ended up hospitalised with major injuries. Authorities identified her as Laura Sanchez-Quiroz, 41. Relatives said she was the mother of the two teenage girls who died in the crash.

Deputies determined that the suspect, Jose Arroyo, was driving while intoxicated, which led to the fatal crash. They booked the 23-year-old man into a county jail.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office divulged that the suspect remains in custody on three felony counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle; and one felony count of intoxication assault with a car.

Pending his court appearance, it is advisable for the suspect to involve an experienced drunk driving attorney, who could stand in as a legal representative.
