The death of a motorist in a traffic collision between two semi-truck and a trailer in Bronte, Texas, calls for the involvement of auto accident attorneys. The tragic occurrence happened on Wednesday, May 27, according to reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS troopers responded to a location on U.S 277. on complaints of a traffic disruption caused by two vehicles involved in an accident. Callers said two 18-wheelers plying the route collided head-on, leaving their operators in critical conditions.
The crash began when one of two semis traveling on Highway 277 left its lane and veered into oncoming traffic. Preliminary reports suggested the 18-wheeler, towing a semi-trailer, was initially traveling on the southbound traffic lanes.
The lanes were reportedly wet due to an earlier thunderstorm, causing the 18 wheeler to lose traction and hydroplane. The vehicle ended up on the northbound lanes, where it encountered a second semi-truck and trailer, driven by Benito Garcia, 52, of San Angelo.
Garcia suffered fatal injuries in the crash, and medics pronounced him deceased at the scene. The other semi-truck driver, identified as Jaime Alejandro Gonzalez, 35, suffered major injuries and received transportation to Shannon Medical Center. Authorities described his injuries as incapacitating, but the details remain unknown. The reports did not indicate any other casualty.
An investigation into the deadly crash is in the works.
Auto accident attorneys can review the case, and ensure the victims, or their family gets adequate compensation for damages.
