On Saturday, May 30th, the police in San Antonio, Texas, disclosed the male driver’s identity who died on the west side of the city. The car accident report update stated that 47-year-old Christopher Seely died from severe injuries sustained in the single-vehicle crash.

The preliminary accident report revealed that the man was traveling in a black SUV with his wife when their car crashed on the night of Friday, May 29th. The police said that Seely was driving the undisclosed car model on Grissom Pass when he struck a parked car for unknown reasons.

The vehicle spun out of control and ended up striking a fence. Seely sustained traumatic injuries, including head trauma. He passed away at the accident site, while his wife did not suffer any wounds. The fatal accident did not involve any other car or person.

Accidents are one of the leading causes of death, and it claims lives almost every day in Texas. While a driver’s negligence and distraction are some of the primary reasons behind auto crashes, reports of car accidents show that other non-human factors contribute.

Some of the latter include manufacturer’s defects and underlying medical conditions. The two are outside the driver’s control, and it is best to mitigate the factors that might contribute to the two. To this end, traffic authorities advise drivers to maintain their vehicles regularly and carry out constant medical checkups to rule out illness that affects their cognitive abilities.
