On Sunday, May 31st, the Carrollton Police Department disclosed the name of the man who died in an accident at an intersection in Carrollton, Texas. The updated reports of the car accident named 27-year-old Jacqueline Deville Leslie as the victim.
The young man lost his life after he refused to park when police officers tried to get him to pull over where Marsh Lane intersects with Running Duke Drive. The investigators said that they determined the man was driving beyond the speed limit from possible impairments.
At approximately 11:31 p.m. on Thursday, May 28th, Leslie fled from the officers, but before he could drive far, he collided against a pole where Marsh Lane intersects with Keller Springs Road. The crash left the victim’s Audi wrecked, and he passed away without making it to the hospital.
Jolene DeVito, the CPD spokeswoman, said Leslie did not have a passenger in his car and described it as a solo crash. She added that the investigators had not determined the speed the deceased was traveling at, but it was high enough to make the accident significant.
The spokeswoman noted that the crash left a lot of dirt at the intersection, and they had to close it for several hours while they investigated and cleared the debris. The report of the car accident did not release additional information.
The police used the accident to reiterate the importance of pulling over when asked to stop by officers. Additionally, drivers should maintain the speed limit and drive carefully, always.
