Four individuals aged between 19 and 23 passed away in one of the roadways in the Decatur area of Illinois, after the car they were traveling in collided with a semi-trailer. In the accident report released on Monday, June 1st, Coroner Day of Macon County, revealed their names as Keitsha C.S. Bowman, Brittany King, Armani Cooper, and Shonez Harper.

There are different forms of traffic collisions, and they often result in fatal wounds or life-altering injuries. The latter include traumatic brain injury, which leaves severe deficits on all levels of function, and spinal cord injuries, which can result in paralysis in the legs and pelvis.

Accident reports also show that other injuries include severe lacerations, which can lead to permanent scarring and need for skin graft surgeries, burns, and limb amputations. Some people experience post-traumatic stress disorder, internal bleeding, organ damage, and broken bones.

Traffic authorities advise drivers to drive carefully, obey traffic rules and regulations, maintain the speed limit and their lanes, and avoid driving impaired.
