Angel Rodriguez and Steve Marin Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision That Left One Dead Near Stratford

The expertise of a car injury lawyer would come in handy following a tragic collision in Kings County, California, that left two people critically injured. The incident took place on the morning of Tuesday, May 19.

The California Highway Patrol dispatched officers to the scene just after 5:30 a.m. on reports of a two-vehicle collision that left at least three casualties in its wake. The vehicles collided at the intersection of Kansas and 16th Avenue. One of the victims did not survive the wreck.

Investigators determined the crash kicked off when the driver of a silver GMC Terrain SUV reportedly fell asleep behind the wheels. The SUV, operated by a 24-year-old resident of Potterville, identified as Steve Marin, was driving near the intersection at the time.

His vehicle then drove into the path of a blue GMC pickup truck driven by 55-year-old Angel Rodriguez of Lemoore. Both cars collided violently as a result. Officers said a 32-year-old San Jose man was riding as a passenger in Marin’s vehicle when the crash happened.

Emergency responders arrived at the location shortly after and rescued the occupants of both automobiles from the wreck. They pronounced the unidentified San Jose resident dead at the scene, while the two motorists were in critical conditions.

An ambulance transported Marin and Rodriguez to a hospital for treatment. Information about their present condition is not available at this time.

Police said drugs and alcohol did not appear as contributors to the fatal collision.

Pending the outcome of ongoing investigations, a car injury lawyer would most likely represent one of the victims, once sufficient claims to pursue an injury lawsuit comes to light.
