Authorities Investigate Death of Jacob Chance Howery in Sacramento

The traffic collision took place at about 10:30 pm on Thursday, March 25, on the Interstate 5 freeway near Florin Road.

It was reported that the fatal victim was standing on the southbound lanes of the roadway, just south of Florin road when an oncoming vehicle struck and killed him. After the initial collision, several other vehicles plying the route also collided with the fallen pedestrian. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
