The motorist who was killed last week Saturday after driving a vehicle over the edge of the road and down an embankment while traveling on Highway 229 East, in Bella Vista, California, has been identified.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office disclosed the victim’s identity on Tuesday, March 31, as 43-year-old Tilak Madhukar Baviskar of Yuba City, while commending every citizen who reports car accidents once witnessed.

The tragic wreck took place in the evening on Saturday, March 28, near Sugar Pine Camp Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was called in just before 6 pm reporting an overturned vehicle about 20 miles east of Redding.
