Christopher Galicia Dies in Jurupa Valley Single-Vehicle Crash

A fatal accident in Jurupa Valley, 12 miles from San Bernardino, California, ended the life of a 25-year-old man. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office on Saturday, March 14th, identified the deceased as Christopher Galicia.

Galicia passed away from the injuries sustained from the accident. The unfortunate collision occurred on Friday night, March 13th, at about 11:15 p.m. on 60 Freeway. The preliminary report by the California Highway Patrol showed that the car the deceased was traveling in, overturned.

The latter happened precisely on the westbound lane of the freeway, east of Rubidoux Boulevard. When emergency services arrived, they found the vehicle had rolled down an embankment.

There were two other unidentified people in the crashed car, and the CHP has no idea if Galicia was the driver or a passenger. The two others sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The reason for the crash remains unknown, and no other car and person was involved. The investigation is still ongoing, and the public will be updated as the CHP uncovers new information.

Accidents are not uncommon in California, and it often results from the carelessness of drivers. One leading cause of an accident is driving over and beyond the legal speed limit for a particular roadway.

Distracted driving where a person’s attention is averted to read a test, answer a cell phone or eat food while behind the wheel also leads to accidents. Another common cause is impaired driving when a driver consumes alcohol or takes drugs before driving.

Drivers are advised to avoid any or all of these three, as accidents can lead to death and life-altering injuries. It also leads to lawsuits depending on the facts surrounding the accident.
