Coroner Identifies Bryceon Anthony Springfield as Victim of Boron Accident

On Friday, July 10th, the Kern County Coroner’s Office released the minor’s name, who died in a traffic collision in Boron, California. The updated reports of the car accident disclosed the name of the fatal victim as Bryceon Anthony Springfield, 3, of Victorville.

The accident happened on the westbound State Route 58, west of Boron Avenue on Tuesday, July 7th. The coroner said that Springfield was a passenger in a car that collided with a semi-truck. He sustained severe wounds and died at the scene at 1:06 p.m.

The initial crash report released by the California Highway Patrol revealed that the car conveying the victim also had a 7-year-old child, an infant, and a 32-year-old female driver. The trio suffered different degrees of injuries, and the medics transported them to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.

The CHP said that officers responded from their Mojave office after receiving a call about a two-vehicle collision. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered that the female driver, identified as Carolyn Ellis, was westbound in a 1992 Toyota Previa on H-58 when she collided with a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck driven by 39-year-old Brain Allen. The latter was eastbound.

The investigators have not uncovered the reason the two vehicles collided, and the investigation is ongoing. They will release an update at a later date when they have more information. In the meantime, they advised drivers to operate their vehicles carefully and practice safe road behaviors.
